Obituary of Bernadette R Knox

Knox, Bernadette R. was born in Charleston, South Carolina to Alberta Wright and the late Benjamin Wright on September 6, 1946. One of six children, she departed this life too soon on Sunday, May 8, 2011. Bernadette was educated in the Winslow Township Public School system and graduated from Edgewood Regional Senior High School. She met and married the late Terry Lee Knox, Sr. of Vineland, New Jersey. From this union, two sons were born, Terry Lee Knox, Jr. (deceased) and Damon Antonio Knox, Sr. Bernadette loved raising her sons. She spoke often of working several jobs and long hours to provide for her family, a fact she was very proud of. Though she worked several years as an Occupational Therapist, her most rewarding job was as a receptionist for her son Damon's local business, Hair 2 There of Glassboro, NJ. Bernadette was a kind, happy and energetic person with a big heart. She enjoyed making friends and she loved helping her friends, especially kids. If you were having problemsm experiencing a rough time, needed a place to stay, or just needed someone to talk to, she was always there to listen and help in anyway she could. Recently her helping hands brought her back to her childhood home to be with her mother, Alberta Wright and sister, Adele Adkins. Bernadette lovingly referred to this union as the "Golden Girls". Also, Bernadette loved to travel and enjoyed spending special time with her grandson, Damon Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Damon and daughter-in-law, Jacqui Knox; grandson, Damon Knox Jr.; her mother, Alberta Wright; five siblings, Adele Adkins, Benjamin Wright Jr., Agatha Wright, Alfonzo "Henry" Wright, Bartholomew "David" Wright; several nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and friends.
