Obituary of Emmanuel T Quao

Emmanuel Torgbor Quao aka Humphrey Bogart went home to be with the Lord on March 31, 2011. He was born inOsu Accra, Ghana on June 13, 1940, the oldest of sixteen children to the late William A. Quao and the late Patience Nartey. Emmanuel lived and grew up in Osu Accra, attending Osu Progress School (Master Adumua Memorial), Roman Catholic Middle Boys School. He pursued higher education at Ghana National Secondary College. It was there he became the first Ghanaian to receive a full scholarship to attend Camden County Vocational Technical Institue (Sicklerville) and the first foreign exchange student to graduate from this institution. Emmanuel had a real passion for Auto Body work, which influenced his decision to attend Camden County Vocational Institute. After vocational school, Emmanuel attended Camden County College and he received his degree in Business Administration from the college. He worked for numerous auto dealerships. In 1984, Emmanuel opened up his own auto body and detainling shop on Warwick Road in Magnolia, NJ called "Manny's Care Care Center." He was a post secondary night school teacher at Burlington County Vocational Technical High School teaching Automotive Repair. Emmanuel had a love for African cultural dance. He formed his own dance troop called Emmanuel Quao's African Dancers. He loved spending his weekends fishing and taking his family on annual summer vacations to Wildwood, NJ but more importantly he always looked forward to seeing his grandchildren. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, relative and friend to countless people. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Cecilia; his preceious children Juliet Quao Moss, Humphrey Quao, and Eric Quao; his grandchildren, Le'ton Quao, Austin Moss, and Ciara Moss; his son-in-law, Michael Moss; daughter-in-law, Tamika Quao; his brothers, Ishmael Quao, Richard Quao, Joe "Tex" Quao, George Quao, Sowah Quao, Jonathan Quao, and Frank Quao; his sisters, Esther Brown Addy, Florence A. Quao, Georgina Quao, Alice Quao, Jemima Quao, and Beatrice Quao; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
