Obituary of Tony Pleasant

Tony Terrell Pleasant, age 35, was born on July 10, 1983 in Camden, NJ to Tracey Robinson and Anthony Pleasant. Tony was the eldest of their children. He came from a home where the family unit matters above all. The bond he shared with his parents and siblings was unmatched and truly unbreakable.

Tony will forever be remembered for his infectious laugh and loving spirit. These qualities, now ever embedded in our hearts an minds, allowed him to effortlessly bond with the many people he encountered throughout his years. So much so, that he earned an array of endearing titles.

He was affectionately called “Poodie” by family and those who knew him best. Others knew him as “Tone-Bone”, “Tony Bologna”, “Tony the Tiger” and many more. Besides his related nieces and nephews, the children of his friends all esteemed him as Uncle Tony; children who adored him for his jovial and attentive nature.

Tony graduated from Faith Christian Academy, receiving his diploma in 2003. Tony being a true artist at heart; with aspirations to one day to become an architect, he was led to Blackwood’s vocational school, Pennco Tech. There, he majored in and graduated from their Auto Cad program.

Tony is predeceased by his uncle Timothy Robinson and his grandmother Delores Robinson, who were both very dear to his heart.

In addition to his teenage-sweetheart, longtime friend, and wife of nine years, Tierra Pleasant, Tony leaves to cherish his unforgettable memory, his parents Tracy and Anthony Pleasant; parents-in-law Keith and Tresa Worthington; two sisters Tiara Tarris Coleman and Tanaysha Pleasant; his brother Tyre Pleasant; sisters-in-law Marquita Gelb (Daniel) and Martinique Worthington and three nephews Trayvon, Tyjir and Taquan and one niece Trinity Coleman of Colonial Heights, VA. He also leaves behind his grandfather Joseph Pleasant and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins that were fortunate to grow up with him not just as cousins, but as brothers and sisters too and a great multitude of other family members and friends.
