Obituary of William C. Harris

William C. Harris, Sr., son of Bernice L. Brown and the late William C. Harris II, was born June 20, 1948 in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. He entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 31, 2010. William, known as "Bill", was a friend and father figure to many. At a young age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at Green Grove Baptist Church. He has served in the National Guard until he was activated into the United States Army Stationed in Germany. While serving in the military, he cooked and fought on the U.S. Army's boxing team. William was a racing enthusiast with many hobbies; including fixing and collecting classic cars. He loved boxing so much that he taught many friends and family how to fight. He will also be missed by family and friends for his illustrious vacations and fishing trips. William will truly be missed and forever in the hearts of all family and friends. May he rest in peace. William is survived by his mother, Bernice L. Brown of Berlin,, NJ; two sons, William C. Harris, Jr. of Sicklerville, NJ and Ian P. Harris of Smrna, DE: four daughters Kimberly L. Harris-Lewis of Sicklerville, NJ, Kelly M. Harris of Berlin, NJ, Aitana m. Harris of Smyrna, DE and Inese Wingate of Blackwood, NJ: one brother, James L. Alexander (Airmen) of Tampa, FL: two step-siblings, Marcia Hickson (Albert) of Atco, NJ and Larry D. Brown (Natalie) of Sicklerville, NJ: eight grandchildren; three great grand children: extended family members, Pauline Tazewell, Monique Cooper, Charlene Wingate, Robert Scott, Rodney Rembert and many other family and friends.
