Obituary of Diane Hamilton

Diane Hamilton, born April 4, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA. She departed from this earth on September 3, 2018 at Samaritan House Voorhees. After the sudden death of Bernice Hamilton (birth mother), the siblings Diane, Lucius, Joyce, and Ulysses were adopted by their uncle Isaiah and his wife Rosa Hamilton who had two daughters Veronica and Sadie Hamilton.  They were reunited with their brother John Hamilton.

Diane was raised in West Atco, New Jersey and attended Winslow Township school.  In high school she mastered the skill of field hockey and her nickname was Hammer Head.  Diane went on to attend Glassboro State College and studied psychology.  Diane loved working with people and spent many years at Greenbrier Nursing Home.  Diane also worked at Atco library as a security guard.

 Diane loved her five children and would raise plenty of he** about them.  She carried such a beautiful spirit inside that only the closest to her would know and understand. She was very giving and would do anything for her family and friends.  Diane enjoyed shooting pool and hanging out with her closest friends, Sharon, Felicia, Gilda and Ms. Little.

Diane was predeceased by her, mother Bernice Hamilton, husband Elwood Dickerson, three siblings Lucius, Joyce, Ulysses Hamilton, and granddaughter Shatay.

Diane leaves to mourn her five children: Yakoob A. Hamilton “Man”, Saleen I. Hamilton “Soup”, Saeed N. Hamilton “Si”, Diane A. Hamilton “Mommy”, Isaiah Hamilton “Poopie” and three step children, seven grandchildren: Saleema, Shaneice, Shakir, Ariel, Audriana, Rylan, Semaj, and a host of step grandchildren, two great grandchildren: Algie and Zay’ah and one brother John Hamilton.
