Obituary of Bobbie LeCheryl Morton

Please share a memory of Bobbie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Bobbie LeCheryl Morton was born on April 20, 1959 in Riverside, New Jersey to Bertha Morton (deceased) and Willis Morton.  She departed this life on August 12, 2018 at the age of 59.

Bobbie was educated in the Palmyra school system.  She was a member of the Palmyra High School bandfront.  She was an outstanding majorette, given the title of "featured twirler".  Bobbie mastered the art of twirling multiple batons and also batons lit on fire!!

After high school, Bobbie attended Hampton Institute in Hampton, Virginia and the Art Institute of Atlanta.

Bobbie accepted Christ at an early age.  She was an active member of Evergreen Baptist Church and sang in the Campbell's Young Adult Choir while Ms. May Holmes hammered away on those keys!!

She worked many years in the gaming industry in the Atlantic City casinos.  After leaving the casino industry, Bobbie worked for the New Jersey State Prison as a Communications Operator.  During her years of employment, she acquired many long lasting and loving friendships.

Bobbie enjoyed spending long hours on the beach and could talk sports with the best of them!!

She enjoyed life!  But what she enjoyed most was her family, especially her nieces and nephews.  She was the MOST LOVING AUNT a child could have!!  She did everything she could for her "babies".

Bobbie leaves to cherish her loving memories; father and stepmother, Willis and Brigite Mitchell-Morton of Hamilton, New Jersey; 3 sisters, Chrystal Morton of Pennsauken, New Jersey, Angela Mitchell and loving brother-in-law Gerald (Chip) Mitchell of Burlington, New Jersey, and Aja and Conroy Monchery of Yokosuka, Japan; 5 nephews, Christopher, Gary, Omari, Kijana and Payson; 3 nieces, Ajani, Kinaya and Samaria; 3 beloved sister friends, Susan Harris, Dawn Ellis and Nikki Harvard; one special dear friend, Bruce Stokes; and a host of friends and other loving relatives.
