Obituary of Moses W. Howard
Moses William Howard was born on July 9, 1947 to Henry and Helen Howard in Philadelphia, PA. He was the youngest of 7 boys.
At an early age Moses gave his life to Christ and joined Refuge Church of Christ of Philadelphia, PA. In April of 2015, Moses recommitted himself to the Lord and was baptized at New Destiny Fellowship Church of Wilmington, Delaware.
Moses married Linda A. Self in October of 1968 and from that union two children were born, Michael and Danielle.
Moses was employed by the Naval Defense Department in Philadelphia, PA for 30 years, retiring in 2004. He started there as a boiler maker and went on to become a mechanical engineer technician.
Moses had traveled the world and would tell exciting stories of his travels. He also was an avid poker player and loved the casino. Everyone that knew Moses knew he always had a camera; snapping pictures at every event and most times, just because.
Moses was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Henry (Reba), Ulysses (Lois), Edwin, Anthony (Florence) and Charles.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife of 49 years, Linda A. Howard; two children, Michael Howard and Daniel Howard-Loveland (Michael); his grandchildren, Tionna Marsh, Jamira Marsh, Denya Loveland, Nikkita Marsh, Shkiera Howard, Khalil Howard, Tyleah Loveland, Michael Loveland, Gabe Howard, Alicia Loveland and Daniel Loveland; two great-grandchildren, Mekhi Jackson and Leava Gould; also, two brothers-in-law, Willie (Hazel) Self and John Keys and a host of other relatives and friends.
