Cynthia Annsonia Austin was born September 25, 1961 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus.
Raised in Atlantic City, Ann attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Atlantic City High School. She had also attended college, receiving credits toward a nursing degree.
She was a member of the LaFayes Social Club and also Women In Charge Stop The Violence. She was employed with Atlantic County Department of Family and Community Development.
Ann had attended the Atlantic City Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Sharin Austin; and three sisters, Michelle Melton, Janice Burgess and Evelyn Jones.
Surviving are: 4 sons, Rodrick Mazyck, Jr., of Atlantic City, Roeman Austin of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Kennard Austin of Atlantic City, and Kyle Austin (Jasmeen) of Smyrna, Delaware; a daughter, Aleah Austin of Atlantic City; her parents, Kennard and Willie Eva Moore of Pleasantville; two brothers, Alvin Melton (Sharon) of Pennsylvania, and Juna Eric Melton of Pleasantville; a sister, Kimberly Denise Melton of Atlantic City; seven grandchildren, Nashaud Austin, Kason Austin, Rahsir Mazyck, Kanai Austin, Sherod Mazyck, Ka'niyah Austin, and Jacob Austin; her best friend, Tracy Bannister; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
