Obituary of Anna Mae Kemp

Anna Mae Kemp was born on November 15, 1940 to Willie and Hazel Carolina in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She was the eldest of four children. She grew up and attended the school system of Winslow Township, NJ. She was baptized and attended Greater Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a faithful and devoted member. Anna Mae met and married Edward Kemp on October 1, 1959. From this union was born Theresa and Sheila. She also worked for well over 30 years at Lakeland Hospital in Blackwood, NJ. She leaves to mourn in her passing her two daughters: Theresa Kemp-Frazier and Sheila Kemp; three grandchildren: She’ila Sapp (Marvin), Ronald Kemp and Kayla Frazier; four great grandchildren: Amani Sapp, Nyasia Kemp, Amir Sapp and Nadira Kemp; two sisters: Dolores McKinsey and Hazel M. Carolina; one brother: Willie Carolina, Jr.; three aunts: Lucille Martin, Frankalee Jones and Dolores Seabreeze-Rone and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks and recognition to her caregivers, Diana Hamilton “Lil’ Mommie” and Amanda Berry. Anna Mae touched the lives of many people with her wisdom and strength. Her endurance and sense of humor, even to the end, was an inspiration to all who were blessed enough to share time with her.
