Obituary of Lizzie B. Smith

Lizzie B. Smith of Atlantic City, departed this life on Sunday, January 31, 2016, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus. Born on June 6, 1945 in Sledge, Mississippi, to Caston and Jossie Barnes Rollins, she was one of 13 children. Lizzie attended and graduated from Wonder High School in West Memphis, Arkansas. She came to Atlantic City in 1963. Ms. Smith was a Certified Nurses Assistant and had retired after 29 years from Seashore Gardens. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her daughter, Stacey S. Smith; two brothers, Isaiah Rollins and Caston Rollins; and two sisters, Martha Jarman and Alzina Rollins. She is survived by her children, Vanessa A. Smith of Vineland, Derrick A. Smith and Stephanie C. Smith, both of Atlantic City, Nichelle D. Smith and Angela Stewart, both of Mays Landing; four grandchildren, Nicole D. Smith of Voorhees, and Tiffany C. Smith of Collingswood, Baziel T. Winters of Vineland, and Josiah Lee Stewart of Mays Landing; one great grandchild, Jayvion B. Winters of Deptford; four brothers, Elmer Rollins of Strawberry, Arkansas, Matthew Rollins of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Howard Rollins of Chicago, Illinois and Clifton Rollins of Sacramento, California; two sisters, Kathrine Cross of Hammond, Indiana, and Maggie Watson of Galloway; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
