Obituary of Avis Marie Clark

Avis Marie Clark entered into God’s loving arms on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Avis was born on July 14, 1956 to the late Carl E. and Mary Sanders Clark. Avis was born in Philadelphia. She attended Our Lady of Mercy until our move to Trevose, PA in 1966 where she attended St. Christopher’s and finished up in the Bensalem School District. Avis is most remembered for her tender heart. She was very caring and giving. Avis loved to help and reassure all friends that they are loved and well thought of. Avis was very well known for her red velvet cakes and her style of cooking from family recipes. She had a taste for fine jewelry and enjoyed the artistry of her own designs. Avis never let a day go by without listening to her music of all genres and as well as all dance moves. Avis always enjoyed family gatherings, celebrations and everyday fun with her grandchildren. She was a strong branch of our family tree, the glue, the middle child. She was courageous from a young age and a born nurturer to all things including animals. Avis was a responsible woman of God with family and prosperity on her mind. Avis was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Marie Clark-Peed. Avis leaves to cherish her memory one son, David Clark; one daughter Delilah Clark; 2 grandsons Aereus and Breon Clark, one granddaughter Deja Clark; one sister Joanne James (Frank); one nephew Lamont Howard; one uncle Issac Sanders; 3 aunts Frances Sessoms, Mildred Sanders and Delores Sanders; brother-in-law Tyrone Peed; a host of cousins and friends.
