Michael Harris was the son of the late Roosevelt and Sarah Harris (nee Saulsbury). He is survived by his daughter, Octavia Harris, son, Michael Harris, his sister Doreatha Moore (nee Fletcher), his brother-in-law Stanley Moore, and a host of Uncles, Aunt, nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends. Michael has also left to morn an ex-wife of 29 years, Tuwanda Harris who has continued to be at his side during his time of need. Michael was a decorated Veteran of the U.S. Army of 8 years. He earned Medals of Honor, and Air Assault Badges, Overseas Service Ribbon, M-16 Rifle Marksman, Hand Grenade, Sharp Shooter, and Good Conduct. Michael later became a Drug and Alcohol Counselor and Patient Advocate for the VA Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Michael was very Meticulous about every facet of his life even to this day. He was always Independent as well as a Conversationalist with much understanding, guidance, and truth while directing a person’s needs. He was Honorable and adored by many and will continue to be the Anchor of our lives. He remained Energetic and eager to help anyone in need. Ultimately, Michael was Loving and full of Life! We will miss him dearly, and will celebrate his “going home”!
