Marion Elizabeth (Cooper) Cauthorne was born on August 4, 1923 in the Borough of Haddonfield, NJ to the late Charles H. Cooper and Anna May (Carty) Cooper. Marion moved to Palmyra where she met and married John Cauthorne on August 5, 1944. She enjoyed their life together and resided at their home in Palmyra until his passing. Now she will be going home to join him once again. She was baptized and was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church then later became a member of St. Paul U.A.M.E. Church. She was a stay at home mom, raising five children and watching two grandchildren. She loved talking about old times. But, her favorite things were her daughter’s potato salad and fried fish. Also, she liked sitting on the front porch watching people and cars go by. She slipped away peacefully on May 23, 2015 at the Cinnaminson Center. She is survived by five children, John R. Cauthorne Jr. of Camden, NJ, Barbara Shumate-Ashinoff of Clementon, NJ, Todd Lee Cauthorne (Lisa) of Camden, NJ, Adrienne Leggett of Camden, NJ and Wayne V. Cauthorne of Palmyra, NJ; seven grandchildren, Charlene McCombs, Eric D. Cauthorne, Todd Williams (deceased), Malinda Williams, Donna A. Leggett, Desiree B. Tyler and Marcus D.
