Obituary of Vernon L. Scott

Vernon L. Scott departed this life on September 16, 2014. Vernon was born November 29, 1978 to Christina Scott-Cooks and Lonnie Jones. vernon was Christina's oldest child of three and the second oldest child of Lonnie's ten. When Vernon was 5 years old Christina relocated to Camden, NJ where Vernon spent 12 years of his life. At 18 years of age, Vernon relocated back to West Atco. Vernon was educated in the Camden City Public School System. At a young age Vernon accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior. In his spare time Vernon enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, watching football and boxing and hanging with family and friends. Vernon was known for his late night phone calls. Vernon had three very special friends since a very young age until the Lord called him home: Jose Luis (P.O.), Saleem Hamilton (Soup) and Raetrella Sapp-Peterson. Vernon also had a special relationship with his 4th Street Family. Preceding him in death is three grandfathers, one grandmother, one uncle and one brother. He leaves to cherish in his loving memory: his grandmother Leola Talley; his parents Christina Scotts-cooks and Roberts Winston Cooks; Dad Lonnie Jones; one sister myisha Cooks; two brothers, Frankie Cooks and Delray Pointer; two nieces Ka'mya Pratt and Tajanae Jefferson, two nephews Carletta Clayton, Claudia Talley and Dana Flack, two special cousins Thomas Hadden and Brianna Clayton. Vernon also leaves to cherish his memory a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers and friends.
