I missed Bill when he retired from NAVAIR. I remembered how he would talk to you with that unlit cigar in his hand. Every hand gesture he made, your eyes following it. Very well spoken man, and father-like. Great qualitites to have. To the family, thanks for sharing him with us and may you all find strength and comfort in family and friends during your time of sorrow.

I am truly thankful for the life my father and mother have given me. The amazing love and foundation they gave me. Dad was proud of me and I was extremely proud of him. How accomplished he was. He was the most positive influence a person could know. I am hoping to move forward and accept that he won't be calling me soon, or that the entire day has gone on without me speaking to him over the phone. He was a person filled with love and support to myself and family. He prayed for us and believed in us. He was a very special part of our lives. To go on without him sitting in the front seat of Mom's truck or car or attending a special event without him will be extremely strange because he was always present. Hard to imagine. Even to go by the house and him not be in either of his seats is a challenge, if Mom is home he was in one of them. Because of his love, our great memories, and laughter, he is with us in our hearts. Always. I know he will always be a part of our lives and that he has gone onto heaven where he deserves to be after living such a great life and being such a wonderful person.
Thank you Dad for showing me the love and care that you did even when you were your sickest. I will never be the same, I don't feel normal at all. But at the same time, I know that I am truly blessed. Thank you for being a special part of my life and the lives of my children as the wonderful and great grandfather you were. You mean a lot to all of us and your legacy will live on in everything we do.
I am grateful that God shared you with me as as my Dad. You are in Peace and I love you.
