Lillian Edith McKnight was born on September 19, 1922, in Slaughter, Louisiana, to the late John B. Jr. and Georgia Johnson. While living in New Jersey for many years, she received her formal education at Camden County College and Glassboro State College (Rowan University) where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development. She was employed with Ancora State Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse and with the Camden County O.E.O. Headstart Program at the Greater Calvary Baptist Church and the West Atco Civic Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, John McKnight; her parents and four brothers. Lillian leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters and their families, Carol Sydnor; James Richard Sydnor III, Rachel Boone, Marques James Sydnor, Michael Sydnor, Ann Sydnor, Peyton Nicole Sydnor, Pamela Joy Sydnor, Javier De'Andre Sydnor and Torrence Joel Sydnor. Gwendolyn McKnight; Christopher McKnight, Angela Knight, Tyrell and Terron Knight, Anthony McKnight, Blanca McKnight, Miguel Sr., Marely, Adrain and Miguel Jr. Dominquez. Her brother, Bernell Johnson, sister-in-law, Dolores Johnson; niece and nephew, Linda Gayle and Rev. Tyrone Johnson and a host of loving cousins and friends.
