From the time I first met him in 1984, George Kenner impressed me. He was warm and friendly. He had a firm handshake and a welcome smile. He seemed loyal and genuine. Having known George now for almost 40 years, as a congregant, a friend, and a brother in Christ, my first impressions were correct. Warm, friendly, loyal, and genuine. He cared about what was right. He faithfully served his country and he served his church. He was always prepared. His adult Bible Classes were filled with beautiful PowerPoints, and clearly outlined thoughts. His presence was felt by all. "George, I will look forward to connecting on the other side. We will celebrate reaching the finish line.

While working as a Central Sterile Technician, I met Dr. Kenner first at the Kensington Ambulatory Surgery Center of Kaiser Permanente. What I best remember about Dr. Kenner was his friendly and kind nature. He was a good man who had no respecter difference of your title or importance. He’d showed loved for the team with buying us lunch, making us laugh with his funny ways or telling stories just simply about life. He was a man who loved God. He simply had a way of making you feel like family. We also knew his love for his wife, daughter and son by the way he shared his happy life. Dr. Kenner was also loved by his patients as I had encountered lot’s of compliments about his healing touch. When Dr. Kenner left I took the little stuff animal he like to wear on his stethoscope. The animal was a little lamb, which was is so representative of the humble man he was.
I’d like to say to his family… “Joy comes in the mourning”

Dr. Kenner was a phenomenally, distinguished gentlemen. Working with him at Kaiser over the years allowed me the opportunity to witness a great father, husband and friend in motion. His infectious smile is what I will remember the most. He was simply a good guy! I thank him for his sound and welcomed advice and for all of the many meals and words of encouragement that he provided for the staff. He was a beacon of light to all that encountered him but he had a special affection for the single mothers on our team. I always respect and hold dear our time together.
May God rest his eternal soul.
