Obituary of Barbara A. Greene

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Barbara had a kind, gentle spirit, and a big heart. She was a natural nurturer often putting the needs of others before her very own. Barbara was an excellent cook and a dedicated homemaker. She was an extremely resourceful person, who took the good with the bad. Barbara valued education and she took pride in hard work. Barbara was employed for Independence Blue Cross for 35 years. Also, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Swedesboro for over 20 years. Upon retiring in 2007, Barbara enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, listening to music, traveling, and watching television, especially shows about crime and documentaries. Barbara was a natural history buff. She felt that knowledge was the key to success and a better understanding of overall life. In more recent years, Barbara relocated to Sicklerville, NJ. The joy of her life was her grandson Jeren, whom she fondly and affectionately called “Buddy”, “her grandbaby” or “her heart”. Barbara lived by the old words, “Let the life I lived speak for me”, and “Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself”. Barbara will be sorrowfully missed by her family and friends. We all loved Barbara, but God loved her best.
