Hazel Harrison of Clementon, NJ peacefully went home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2021. Hazel was born October 14, 1920 in Chicago, IL to the late William McKarrel and Lucy McKarrel of Quincy, IL. She was the best mother a child could ask for: patient, kind, considerate, loving and compassionate. She was a dedicated and devoted mother. Hazel was primarily a housewife but she also worked part-time as an accountant and bookkeeper for numerous companies in the greater Los Angeles area where she lived from 1958 to 1994 before relocating back to NJ. In addition to her accounting and bookkeeping experience, she at one time owned and operated her own laundromat and later was a building manager for 75 units in the Crenshaw and Leimert Park areas of Los Angeles. She attended medical school to train for medical technician and in her spare time she volunteered to work with the homeless at the Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles.. She is predeceased by her parents and husband Alfred, Sr. and a son Richard. She is survived by her sons; Alfred Harrison, Jr. and Roger Harrison and her nieces: La Toya Harrison and Patrice Harrison. She will be Very, Very truly missed by her family and friends. Words cannot express the great love and adoration we will carry for her for the rest of our lives.
