Obituary of Virginia Elizabeth Freeman

Virginia E. Freeman, daughter of the late Millie Jones, was born on September 20, 1925 in Cape Charles, Virginia. She entered into eternal rest on July 4, 2021. Virginia moved up north with her family in 1939 to Philadelphia, PA where she attended South Philadelphia High School for Girls. Virginia was the loving wife of the late Charles William Freeman, Sr. together they were blessed with seven children. Virginia was a former employee of Cooper Hospital, Camden, NJ. She worked as a Nurse’s Assistant in the NICU for 27 years. Virginia loved to cook. She always had food cooked and ready on the stove for anyone who just happened to stop by. You would never leave her home hungry. Virginia believed on the reputation of Jesus Christ. When asked, she would confidently say, “ He is the Son of God”. Virginia faithfully attended bible study classes. She attended classes at Parkside United Methodist Church. She was a member of Bright Memorial Church in Camden, NJ and was involved in visiting the sick and shut in. Virginia is survived by her children, Charles William Freeman, Jr., Diani Bey, Gary Lynn Freeman, Joseph Leroy Freeman, Brenda Akers, Barbara Ann Pinkston, and Alfred Alan Freeman; two daughters-in-law and two sons-in-law, 22 grandchildren, 35 great children and 3 great great grandchildren.
