Obituary of Jerry R. Gregg
Please share a memory of Jerry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jerry Russell Gregg, was born on Jan 23, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on April 17, 2021 at Cooper Hospital in Camden, N.J. During Jerry's early elementary school years he attended different schools in several states. Upon his father's retirement from the U.S. Air Force, the family settled in Edgewater Park, New Jersey. Jerry then continued and finally completed his education in The Burlington City School System. After graduation, Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served honorably for 4 years. After being discharged from The Marine's, Jerry followed many careers paths and loved them all. But the main occupation of his life was LOVING FATHER! Jerry LOVED his children and grandchildren.
Jerry was the third of eight children and eldest son. His wife, Jodi Lynn Eberly-Gregg, his father Philip Winston Gregg, his mother Pearl Jackson-Gregg, and one of his sisters, Cecelia Gregg-Manly, preceded him in death.
Jerry, just like his mother, loved cooking, shopping and dressing sharp. He also had a keen sense of humor, like his dad, along with his great storytelling abilities.
Jerry leaves to mourn his passing, his 3 children, Jerry Russell Gregg Jr., Cheree' Lynn Gregg, and Jermaine Justin Gregg, his grandchildren, Jerry Russell Gregg III, "Bubba", Jaylen Christopher Peak-Gregg, "Jay-Bear", Richard Charles Peak-Gregg, "Ricky", Evelyn Kikue Peak-Gregg, "Minnie" and Bellarose Peak-Gregg, "Bella", his very special "daughter" Arianna and her children, his siblings, Barbara Gregg-Williams, Jo Ann Gregg-Harmon, Michael Gregg (Carole), Eloise Gregg-Marinnie (Bobby), Patricia Gregg-Johnson, Kenneth Gregg, and many, nieces, nephews and friends.
Though this obituary of Jerry's life may seem short, but sweet, it is indicative of him...the man that he was. He was so loved by each of us and it was so hard to sum up the true beauty and essence of who he truly was!
You've had a tremendous and eternal impact on each of our lives!
"To every soul under the heavens, God gives purpose death can not hold, Our beloved ones, lofted into eternal rest, are lives impacting life." Pastor Kevin Williams, Nephew
Rest in peace Father, Grandfather, Pop-Pop, Brother, Cousin, and Friend! We dearly love you!
