Obituary of Gina Thomas

Pauline Regina Thomas, affectionally known as “Gina”, was born on October 2, 1946 to Augustus and Hazel Davis-Thomas. She departed this life earning her wings on Tuesday February 2, 2021 surrounded with her family. Gina was born and raised in the city of Camden, NJ. She was the 3rd youngest of 15 children born to Hazel Davis-Thomas. She was educated in the Camden Public School system. Gina worked for Virtua Marlton Hospital. She loved her Virtua family just as much as they loved her. She worked various departments but, there was a special bond with the Security department where she was Sergeant for many years. Moving on from the security role, she went to the front desk. There she enjoyed greeting patients and staff with that million-dollar smile. She was employed at Marlton for 46 years until her retirement in May 2020. She loved her family and everyone was “special” to her. She just made you feel that way when you were in her presence. She made sure that she supported everything everyone did from graduations, birthdays and business endeavors. That’s just who she was. Gina was full of life with an infectious smile that would light up any room. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She adored her grandchildren. She loved being a Nana to all her “Little Guys”. She loved vacationing and traveling. One of her favorites things to do was to go out to eat. She enjoyed good food. She enjoyed going to the movie theatre. She looked forward to spending Sunday afternoons singing and dancing to oldies but goodies at her brother Marty’s house.
