Obituary of Richard A. Jones, Sr.

On Thursday, January 14, 2021, my husband and our father Richard Jones Sr, affectionately known as Curly passed away at the age of 69. He was the first of two children born to the late Charles and Anginette Jones. Curly was brother to Nathaniel Jones “Brother", born in Camden NJ on July 1, 1951. Curly worked for various trucking companies, but most of his work was with Local 222, where he will be remembered as a reliable and well liked employee. He loved working outdoors and around the house especially taking care of his lawn. He enjoyed watching sports, was a big Eagles fan, and enjoyed watching old westerns on television. Curly leaves fond memories and will be forever remembered by his wife Denyse of 41 years, his sons Richard Jr., Justin Jones, Grandchildren Elijah, Amyah, Natalia and Zion Jones, his Aunts Chrissy Payton and Joyce Butts, many cousins and friends and devoted companion/German Shepherd (“Miles”). No funeral arrangements will be made at this time. We plan to have memorial services at a later date, when family and friends can safely gather.
