Berry, Clarence J. (affectionatey known as Bobe) was born on January 11, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the first born to Clarence T. and Catherine Berry. He departed this life on Friday, November 18, 2011. He was educated in the Philadelphia School System and was drafted into the U.S. Army where he completed his education and served in the Vietnam War. He worked at varioius jobs as a Securty Guard and before becoming ill, his last job was a Supervisor over Security at the Philadelphia Airport. Before entering the military he became the proud Father to William Blackman, who resides in Texas. During his earlier years, Bobe loved to entertain by singing and playing the drums, but singing was his forte. He was also a member of the singing group known as the "Delphinians". His first biggest accomplishment was when he got his drivers license at the age of 50. His second biggest accomplishment was buying his first car. Bobe never missed a birthday or holiday where he always showered his Mother with gifts. He loved cooking for his nieces and nephews, and his specialty was his hamburgers that included his special ingredients. Bobe was known and loved by all in Philly. Right before the Lord called him home, Bobe was on his knees in prayer. God sure has His way of preparing us. We will miss him dearly. He leaves to mourn a son, William Blackman (Texas), 2 grandchildren, his father, Clarence and mother,Catherine (Philadelphia),4 brothers, Stephen (California), Donald (Philadelphia), Gregory (Annie) (New Jersey) Darrell (Tonya) (Tennessee), 2 sisters, Vanessa (John) (Georgia), and Deborah (preceded him in death) and a host of aunts, uncles, 8 nieces, 3 nephews (one preceded him in death), cousins, and friends.
