Joan Ann Davis-Rivera, affectionately known as "Cookie", was born on August 22, 1944 to Jonah and Mary L. Davis (deceased) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She departed from this earth on August 30, 2020 at Virtua Hospital, Marlton, NJ. She grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she attended Filter Elementary school, Roosevelt Junior High and Germantown High School. She was baptized and attended Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she was a faithful and devoted member until her health began to fail her. In 1962, she moved to New Jersey to start her life, where she held several jobs. Joan married Pablo Rivera on July 5, 1975 and they moved to West Atco, New Jersey in 1976. She loved her children and family as well as taking pictures, watching television and knitting and spent her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Pablo; children, Gerald and Ramona; grandchildren, Aaron and Samone and two brothers, Gerald and Robert. She leaves to mourn her passing her two daughters: Della Davis and Sondrea Davis-Foxworth; son-in-law Henry Foxworth; 10 grandchildren: Marcus, Camille, Amira (Reandell), Rondi, Kendra, Braheim, Ramona, Rodina, Keyaira, Keyanna and Paul; 9 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Carol Davis-Bey, Patricia Davis and Marilyn Davis-Boyce; 10 nephews and nieces and a host of cousins and friends.
