McKinley Thomas Hall. was born April 18, 1933 in the town of Bayside, located along the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He was the fifth of six children born from the union of the late Robert and Exie Wessells Hall. He was a loving and dutiful son to his parents. McKinley received his elementary education in Onancock, Virginia and graduated from the Mary Nottingham Smith High School in Accomack County in May 1952. Afterwards, he enrolled at Maryland State College, now known as the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. He later attended courses for carpentry and became a professional carpenter by trade. He was a member of the Heavy & General Laborers Local 472 & 172. On July 21, 1956, he married the love of his life, Myrtle Susie Rogers, with whom he shared 63 years and 360 days. They left Virginia in the mid 60s, and settled in New Jersey where they built a life together. He was a great provider. As a young man, McKinley enlisted in the US Army and dutifully served his country for a period of two years. He was honorably discharged on May 24, 1961. Having attended church with his mother while growing up, McKinley never forgot his religious training. He read his Bible and when given the opportunity, he made the decision to accept the Lord Jesus as his Savior earlier this year. McKinley was predeceased by his loving parents; Robert & Exie Hall, siblings; Braden Hall, Mary Stewart, Rosie Mills, Robert Hall, Jr, & Sarah Hall, a nephew; William Hall and a godson, Anthony Parker.
