Everett H. Bates, Jr.,age 64, of Woodbury, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020.
Born November 10, 1955, in Camden, NJ, he was the son of Everett H. Sr. (predeceased) and Doris Bates. Everett Jr. attended Woodbury High School and later received an honorable discharge from the U.S Army.
Everett Jr. was an avid artist and possessed a contagious sense of humor. Loved by his family, we imagine he is walking the streets of gold, joking with angels.
Everett Jr. leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Doris Bates-NJ, son; Shawn Tarpley-NJ, one grandson Amir Tarpley-NJ (predeceased), one great-grandson, four sisters; Sharon Bates-Murray-FL, Lois Spencer-NJ, Diane (Garry) Saunders-NJ, Brenda (Willie) Comfort-MD, four brothers; Michael Bates-NJ, Robert Bates-FL, Stephen (Karen) Bates-NJ, Richard (Krystal) Bates-NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, arrangements by Covington Funeral Home, Atco, NJ 08004
