Obituary of Frances Jane Gayle

Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gayle, Frances J. "Frannie" departed this life to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, July 29, 2011. Frances was the last daughter born to the parents of Frances and Alfonza Gayle, Sr. on April 10, 1957 in Somers Point, NJ. She resided with her family at 941 West Avenue, Ocean City for several years before they relocated to 419 Peak's Beach Village in the same town. During these years, permanent family relationships were established with the Dunmore's, the Davis', the Farrell's, the Foglio's, the Lyle's, the Coleman's and a host of others. Frances was an alumnus of Ocean City High School where she loved and participated actively on the Girls basketball team. After graduating from Ocean City High School in 1975, she attended Atlantic City School of Business to further her education. In 1986, Frances and her two sons, Justin and Troy Gayle, relocated to Camden for several years before moving permanently to Sicklerville. Following her employment with the City of Ocean City, she worked several years for the Claridge Casino Hotel in Atlantic City, and for the last 15 years she worked with patients at Ancora Hospital and Family Services of Hammonton. From her early elementary school age to her time of departure from this earth, Frances followed her Baptist faith by participating in Sunday services at St. James A.M.E. and Shiloh Baptist Churches in Ocean City and St. John's Baptist Church in Camden where she was a member for many years. Frances was indeed a selfless giver; a fearless protector (just ask anyone who needed a backup); a compassionate comrade to those misunderstood (just ask her patients); a loyal friend with the bighgest heart (just try to think of anyone whom she did not share with); and last but not least, an unconditionally loving Mother, Sister and Aunt (if you knew her, you know how much she loved her children and family). In addition to her sons Justin and Troy, Frances is survived by eight sisters and brothers, Patricia Julian, Alfonza Gayle, jr., and Darlene Gayle, all of Georgia, Virginia Roberts, Jean Morton and Kevin Gayle of New Jersey, James Gaykle of Florida and Judy gayle of Virginia. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, Frances and Alfonza Gayle, Sr. and her three brothers, Howard, Christopher and Jeffrey Gayle.
