Obituary of Kamora Faith Sessoms

Kamora Faith Sessoms was born on May 8, 2019, to Erica Bland-Marshall and Keith Sessoms at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, NJ. She weighed in at 9lbs. 1oz. “Faith” as she was called by many went home to be with the Lord peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. 

Kamora was a true miracle. She was born with a rare liver condition called Biliary Atresia. She had a beautifully calm spirit and loved everyone. But most of all she was a true fighter, who never showed any outward signs of her inner health struggles. Her story of strength touched the heart of everyone who came in contact with her including family, friends and strangers. Kamora’s middle name was an inspiration to her doctors, nurses and healthcare providers who often called her “Faith”. Hospital staff even hung a banner with 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith, not by sight” on her door and wall to encourage her and her family to stand on their faith through the many uncertain days and nights. Kamora loved music and hanging out in her pink elephant swing. She loved taking pictures and holding people’s cell phones. She also enjoyed watching her brothers and sister play and watching football with her Daddy. But she especially loved being held and spoiled by her Mommy. She was fortunate to travel to her father’s family reunion in Virginia, last summer where she met and visited with many relatives.

She leaves to cherish her memory; Her loving parents Erica Bland-Marshall and Keith Sessoms of Sicklerville, NJ, her siblings, Saniya, Harmoni, Christian (CJ), Jeremiah and Trinity; her maternal grandmothers, Mary Thompson and Vanita Young; her paternal grandparents Natalie and Daron Traylor and Keith Sessoms (Sharon); Great-Grandmother Carrie Green; Godparents, Shanie Johnson, and Jose Rodriquez, and a host of relatives, family and friends. She will be missed dearly.

There Is A Special Angel
There is a special Angel in Heaven
that is part of me.
It is not where I wanted her
but where God wanted her to be.
She was here but just a moment
like a night time shooting star.
And though she is in Heaven
she isn't very far.
She touched the heart of many
like only an Angel can do.
So I send this special message
to the Heaven up above.
