Obituary of Angela Sophia Harris-Norton

Please share a memory of Angela to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Angela Sophia Harris-Norton was born June 19, 1973, in Rome, NY to Tech Sergeant Nathan Harris and Beryl Manderson. As the child of an enlisted officer of the US Air Force, she spent her early years living in Athens, Greece; San Bernadino, CA.; and Philadelphia, PA.; prior to relocating to Berlin, NJ.

As a pre-teen, Angela attended Overbrook Junior High School in Lindenwold, NJ, before moving on to Overbrook Senior High School in Pine Hill, NJ, where she graduated in 1992. Her extracurricular activities included girls’ basketball, cross country, indoor track, and French Club. During that time, she also attended Barbizon Modeling and Acting School. Angela continued her education at Camden County College in Blackwood, NJ, earning an associate degree, and later receiving a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Strayer University, where she studied Business Management and Accounting

In her teenage years, Angela began to attend the Pilgrim’s Rest Disciples of Christ Church in West Berlin under the leadership of the late Bishop James E Moore, Sr. She was an active member of the Sunday School and Youth Departments and Jr. Usher Board. She accepted the Lord as her personal Savior and was baptized. As an adult she continued to be faithful and active in her church where she has served as the Church Clerk/Secretary, Usher Board President, and member of the Gospel Choir and Media Ministry,

As a young lady, Angela caught the eye of William David Norton while strolling along South Street in Philadelphia. They fell in love and were happily joined in Holy Matrimony on June 28, 1997. Together, they provided a comfortable environment in which they raised their family. She unconditionally loved and catered to her husband and children!

Throughout adulthood, Angela held several jobs. She was last employed as an Acquisition Specialist on the Footwear Team in Clothing and Textiles at Logistics Agency Troop Support under the Department of War. She took all her jobs seriously and was a faithful and committed employee. She also served as Bookkeeper for the family’s business, Norton Tow Squad/Gotcha Auto Recovery, where she enthusiastically participated in their annual ‘Tows-4-Tots Drive’ at Christmastime.

Angela loved shopping and traveling. She was a Disney fanatic and loved Disney World and all things Disney, whether it be memorabilia, watches, or clothing!

It all came to an end on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. Almighty God determined that Angela’s earthly assignment was completed and she heeded her Savior’s call and bid this earth farewell. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, William David Norton, 3 adoring children; Cierra, David, and Nathan Harris-Norton, her parents; Beryl Manderson and Elder Nathan (June) Harris, two grandchildren; Amari and Sophia Chambers, 3 brothers; Minister Patrick (Andrea) Nedrick, DelRoy Nedrick, and Darren (Chira) Nedrick, special cousin; Yvette Reid, 2 brothers-in-law; Charles (Pamela) Norton and Johnny (Dobbie) Norton, honorary family; Brenda and Coswaylo Riley, several aunts, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
