Obituary of Taheem "Thyme" R. Gadson

Please share a memory of Taheem "Thyme" to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Taheem R. Gadson, a beloved son, father and brother, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy as bold as the life he lived.

Born on October 20, 1971, in Philadelphia, PA. to the late Richard A. Gadson and Mattie M. Gadson.

Taheem's journey was marked by curiosity, ambition, and a spirit that knew no borders. A proud graduate from Highland High School and the University of Pennsylvania.  Taheem's sharp mind led him to a successful career as a lobbyist.  His entrepreneurial drive also saw him as a partner in Monsoon Microsoft Studio.  An extensive traveler, Taheem explored the world with an open heart, never afraid to embrace new cultures or try new things.  His zest for life was perhaps best captured by the "Rolling Stones" tattoo he wore- a fitting tribute to a man who was always in motion and never gathered moss.

Taheem is survived by his mother Mattie M. Gadson, his cherished son Sage Gadson sister, Astrid Jones (Chris).  He was a proud uncle to Christopher Jones II and Alexandria Jones, and leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will miss his warmth and adventurous spirit.  He also leaves his former wife and dear friend, Hanne Brandtzaeg, with whom he shared a lasting bond of mutual respect.

He was a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and navigated God's plan with strength.  He has now been called home to rest, but his "Rolling Stone" spirit remains with us all.
