My best memory of Sister Holmes is of the days at CCU. When we walked down the aisle from the pulpit at the end of the Sunday church service hugging, and shaking hands with the congregation. We would then stand at the foyer door to give benediction and shake hands with the congregation as they left Sunday morning services. I remember Sister Holmes always had a beautiful smile on her an anxious as I came down the aisle, and I was always happy to give and get a big hug and a kiss. She was the sweetest soul.
