



Obituary of Alvina Lola Garcia
A time to be Born: Alvina Lola Garcis was born on August 5, 1951, in egg harbor, New Jersey to Alvin and Florence Dixon. She was the oldest of 9 children. As a young girl, she was Baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church in Egg Harbor. She was educated in the Egg Harbor school District and graduated from Oakcrest High School.
A time to work: Alvina spent most of her adulthood as a stay-at-home wife and Mother. She worked a few odd Jobs, Wheaton Glass Company, Foster Care Mother for adults with special needs, and teacher's assistant at St. Mary Magdellen, to name a few.
A time to Love: Alvina met and married the love of her life in 1978. The two Married Nov 13th of that same year. Their union brought about 5 childen.
A time to Grieve: Alvina was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Estella Blackwel.
A time to transition: Alvina fell ill a few years ago. During that time her elder granddaughter, Christina Mears, lived with and lovingly cared for her. On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, She succumbed to her illness.
A time to Remember: Alvina left this world with many who loved and will remember her daily. Her Husband, Kermit Garcia, Sr. her children; Toni Waddington, Kermit Garcia, Jr. (Darlene), Marty Dixon, Andre Dixon (Tina), Vaughn Garcia, 21 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, her siblings; Darrel Dixon (Mia), Florence Pam Berry, Alvin Lamont Dixon, Linda McClinton, Andrew Dixon (Connie), Joseph Dixon, Christopher Dixon (Pat), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
