Obituary of Marche' Devon Michael

Marche Devon Michael was born on October 16, 1948, in Birmingham, Alibama, to Emmit and Josephine Wilson. She peacefully transitioned on March 6, 2025.

From an early age, Marche' embraced her faith, joining Green Liberty Baptist Church in Birmingham, where she was an active member of the church choir. In later years, She remained devoted to her spiritual journey as a loyal member of Bethel AME Church, where she served as an usher. 

Marche' received her early education at Washington Elementary School before graduating from Fairfield Industrial High School in 1967. She continued her studies at Lawson Statew Junior College, earning an Associate in Applied Science degree in June 1969. Her academic journey led her to Alabama State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of science in Bussness Administration in May 1971. In 1976, she furthered her education by earning a Master of Arts in Bussness Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

Thoughout her Professional career, Marche' dedicated herself to excellence in both banking and education. She worked with Amsouth/ Regions Bank and the Birmingham Board of Education before relocating to New Jersey in 1983. There, she contributed her expertise to several companies, including National Telephone Directory/Yellow pages, Bank of America/Manigistics, and Aetna Health/CVS. 

She retired from Aetna/CVS in 2017 after 26 years in the healthcare industry as a respected Network Manager. 

A woman of many passions, Marche' was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, cheering for her team with unwavering enthusiasm. She found joy in gardening, sewing, decorating, and, above all, spending cherished time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Robinson, Bruce Robinson, and Emmit Wilson Sr., as well as her beloved daughter, Charnay Micael and brother, Emmit Wilson Jr. 

Marche' leaves behind a loving family who will forever honor her memory; her devoted husband of 51 years, Otis L. Michael Jr.; her beloved son, Erik L. Michael; her daughter-in-law, Marsha Michael; her granddaughter- in-law, Diamond Dare; her brother, Revawn Wilson; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Michael-Smith; and her uncle, Harold Walker.

Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but cherished by those who knew and loved her.
