Poppa Gallon, was a very special person to many people. He loved the Lord and let the spirit use him to draw people to the kingdom. God is amazing and I feel our paths were destined to cross. Mr.Gallon was not only my teacher in high school, but a mentor and father-figure as he was to many. He prayed for me and my family and had a huge part in me choosing my career path as a teacher. His picture hangs in my classroom all year long and I tell my students annually about the one teacher that inspired me during teacher appreciation week. When I was in high-school, having the opportunity to be around his girls and wife and seeing a loving Christian family was life changing for me and they so happened to remain in my life in one way or another. Beyond high school Ms.Cookie took care of my baby as a nurse in the hospital when I almost lost her in 1998, Mr.Gallon comforted me in 2005 when she reunited with the lord, then my nephew Demetris reconnected us when he got married in October of 2023 and he attended the wedding with the family. It was good to see him and some of the family. He was just being him and looking great. Heaven rejoiced when he returned and the lord must’ve said job well done, because seeing all the good he has given back is breathtaking. I had no clue what he had given and sacrificed over the years. To the family (Cookie, Jasmine,Danielle,Kristie, and Noelie). Thank you for sharing him with the world and God bless and keep you all! Comfort, peace and love be with you. Sending my deepest condolences~ Maisha A.D. Utterbach

I have known Will over the years through church worship activities and through Pathfinder Programs. Our more recent outreach event together the past three years was the participation of the Glassboro SDA Church Pathfinder Braves Drum Corp, along with the Newtonville SDA Church literature evangelism group in the Camden March for Jesus outreach program. This event reaches many poverty-stricken families annually from the Camden neighborhoods who are provided with many services to meet some of their needs. Will and his daughter, Krysty were faithful participants in this important outreach event. He will be sadly missed.

When I was a student many years ago, I worked with Mr Gallon through the Drama Department. He was always so caring and helped inspire my love of doing Tech theatre. I received the Gallon award for 2005 and I am so grateful to have known this loving kind individual.
