Please share a memory of Claretta to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Claretta “Margie” Daniels was born in Camden, New Jersey on June 13, 1939. She was one of three children born to the late Addie & Charles Keys. Margie was raised in Berlin, New Jersey and later moved to Erial, New Jersey after she married Emory Daniels on December 21, 1957. Together they had 5 children, Emily, Deena. Courtney, April & Emory “Charles”. Margie was a retired School Bus Driver who was known for her serious demeanor, but it was often said that her “bark was bigger than her bite” as she had a heart of gold and her house and arms were always opened to those in need. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Margie when asked what in life has bought her the most joy her response was her children. She was the rock of her family, strong, loving, caring and very straight to the point. Margie enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, and going to the casino with her sister and best friend Addie. Margie was a source of strength, inspiration and knowledge. Margie was preceded in death by her parents: Addie & Charles Keys; her husband Emory Daniels; her daughter Deena Marie Daniels-Taylor and her son Charles Daniels. Margie was called home on March 7, 2020 after battling her second bout of stage 4 cancer. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: daughters: Emily Daniels, Courtney Daniels & April Singleton; her sister Addie Gibbson and brother Raymond Keys as well as her 10 grandchildren: Chandra, LaTisha, Naelynn, Paul, Courtney, Melanie, Justin, Pence, Julian & Kayle and her 13 great grands as well as her nieces & nephews.
