Obituary of Aly Richardson

Please share a memory of Aly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Aly Richardson, son of Helima and Saladin Richardson (deceased), was born on March 20, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He had a brilliant mind, vivid imagination, a restless soul and was a "Jack of All Trades". Aly could sing, member of the Philadelphia Male Choir; a musician, could play guitar; a tailor, could sew without patterns;an electrician, carpenter, landscaper, gourmet cook, auto mechanic, wire connoisseur and had memorized at least 50 suras of the Holy Quran. His most profitable and apparently most enjoyable trade was that of "A Jailhouse Lawyer". Aly assisted many inmates in finding justice in a very unjust criminal system. All walked away with serving less time and with some cash in their pockets. Aly, it seems was always involved with some sort of litigation. Aly is survived by his son, Aly, Jr. his partner of 17 years, Kim Sawyer, his brother Omar (Ruth), his sisters Farida and Fathia Richardson, his nephews, Bashir, Rashid, and Omar, nieces Helima and Yasmine, aunts Karima and Wadia, many cousins and his best friend Steve Wright. We beseech the All Mighty and Merciful Allah, knower of all hearts, to shower mercy on Aly and grant his restless soul the peace that always eluded him. Aly transitioned on Thursday, April 6, 2017,
